Shibuichi is a Japanese alloy. It's name translates to “one fourth,” which refers to 25% silver and 75% copper. I create Shibuichi by calculating metal proportions, melting and pouring the combined metals into an ingot mold, and milling the ingot to sheet or wire by using a rolling mill. Historically, Shibuichi was used to make ornaments for the katana - Samurai sword.
